The 2019 Viorcam Team
As one of the official sponsors, we are pleased to announce that VIORCAM KH-7 is now ready for a new adventure in the Titan Desert
Former professional cyclist Melcior Mauri, a Titan Desert regular, and August Pascual have succeeded in consolidating a team of 35 cyclists for 2019. Comprising both professionals and amateurs, Viorcam KH-7 has become one of the most prominent teams—if not the most—to watch in this edition, thanks to the number of riders defending the orange and green colors and the technical quality of its members.
Josep Betalú, winner of the last three editions, is pursuing a fourth title, a feat only achieved by Roberto Heras. Should he succeed, he would not only match Roberto but would also have secured the titles consecutively.
Anna Ramírez, winner of the women’s category in 2015 and 2017, aims to return to the top of the women’s podium.
Mauri will be joined on the VIORCAM KH7 3 team by two great former professional cyclists: Abraham Olano and Sylvan Chavanel. For Olano, this will be his third time participating in this event. Chavanel makes his debut in this adventure following his retirement as a professional in December 2018, boasting a brilliant professional record and the title for the highest number of participations in the Tour de France (18).
